There is a great proverb that if you plan on revenge you should start by digging two graves. Likewise, if you wish to compromise your values and win at any cost then you are only paving the way for someone else to wish revenge on you and be the recipient of the man who dug two graves. The best way to win is to win at life, and you can do that by holding true to your values and winning any situation by focusing on how you can serve others not how you can serve yourself to win against another. This way you win with integrity, valour and honour. I hope you enjoy your affirmation for the week.
I like to win honestly. A victory is always sweeter after taking the long, tough road of integrity. It pleases me when I can say that I live up to my expectations.
My values mean the world to me because they define who I am. I am happy to be predictable in the minds of others because it is easy to garner their trust in the future.
I believe that when others know what I stand for, they can rely on me to maintain integrity.
In my workplace, I feel like a successful leader every day. I express my belief system to those who look up to me for leadership. I realise that my stance may not always be favourable, but I know I can get the performance I need from the organisation if I stick to it.
At home, I feel successful each and every day because I express my belief system through the quality of my actions. I embrace the loving relationships around me and I give of myself to those that I have chosen to love.
I achieve because I allow my values to remain at the forefront of my actions. They help me live with positivity and confidence. They help me endure and inspire me to go further.
Today, I promise to always stand behind what I believe in. I trust that I can be victorious in any venture without compromising my values.
- What happens when I refuse to compromise my values?
- Do I share the importance of sticking to what is right with my family, children and friends?
- Are there times when I feel like the ‘high road’ is unbearable?
If you haven’t used affirmations before there is no right way or wrong way to get started. Whether you print them out and read when you like or record them into your phone and listen to them up to 3 times a day, so long as you connect with the affirmation then you are on your way to mastering it. You can also choose an inanimate object that symbolises the concept for you and carry it with you in the day, or add something meaningful to your vision board. You can use this affirmation as part of your meditation. Some people just like to use them as talking points with their friends or inspire them to make wallpapers to share on social media. Whatever feels right, is what was intended for you now you have found your affirmation, so have fun with it.
