There are 6 areas to master within the Fortitude Formula to increase your Mental Wealth “Credit”. You need to be centered and present, resilient, energised, disciplined, an implementor and thankful. Now you are not expected to have any of these areas figured out yet, all you need is to be ready to be open to go on a journey to learn how to embrace each aspect for a total shift in your life. That shift is created with small changes, that bring about major transformations. Below we briefly touch on the six areas that make up the Fortitude Formula. If you know you want to be coached by us online or in person, you can WhatsApp from the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. Centered & Present
You need to find something that takes you out of the depression of the past and the anxiety of the future and centres you back in the now. This can be any passion or hobby that satisfies your six human needs and also keeps you in the present. For me, I choose cooking and call this Culinary Empowerment but this stage does not have to revolve around food. Get in touch for more options.
Resilient & Unflapable
So often, we struggle the moment we encounter resistance. We give up on our dreams, thinking them too difficult. The more resilience you have, the more you can stand up to what life throws at you, the more you can step back and find the opportunity in the challenge. That is how true happiness is found. Overcoming obstacles is a key step in attaining mental wealth and is a key feature in my podcast.
Resilience needs to be
reinforced with a concrete backbone.
Life can be tough, but you are tougher
Energised & Connected
Physical energy comes from eating the right foods and exercise. Emotional energy comes from letting go and walking away from that which doesn’t serve you and connecting to those who lift you up. Financial energy comes from making solid and fast decisions. Spiritual energy comes from having faith in something greater than yourself. Increasing just one area can make a huge impact.
Disciplined & Focused
You can tell someone’s habits by looking at them. Yet we pay less attention to our habits than we do what we wear or how we style our hair. Any sports professional you admire has no doubt put the hours in behind the scenes. They win because they outwork and compete with the best that they can be. It’s a much higher standard. When you are just starting out, aim to be just 1% better than yesterday, you will eventually get up to 110% plus.
Many people give up on
coaching but that’s because
many coaches miss
two important steps
Implement & Take Action
You have to put the knowledge you’ve learned into practice and do so every day. It doesn’t have to be big action, but it has to be something, or your brain will get distracted. Knowledge is no power at all, action is where the power lies. Do so with intention work-sheets, journaling, action plans, vision boards, 101 lists. These will be talked about in my podcasts.
Thankfulness
Once you have everything you think you want, it’s often amazing how often people are not fulfilled or then need more. This is because they were not directed to perform the art of gratitude. It is a crucial step in cementing all the good work you have done. Also when you are truly thankful for your journey you are more likely to lift others up and that in turn lifts you up again.
This touches very briefly on how the fortitude formula works. There is still more detail within the formula to learn but here is a great place to start. Those who want to fast-track, jump on to my podcast as soon as it launches as we will be talking in detail about the simple steps that can get you back on the road to the life you desire and deserve.
