I challenge you to go 3 days – yes just 3 days without complaining. Do you know it is much harder than you think? The problem is when you focus on what you don’t want or like in life, then that’s what the Universe brings towards you because that is the message you are sending. Use today’s affirmation to refocus onto gratitude and see a difference 3 days.


I walk through life with a heart of gratitude. It is an approach that produces more positive results for me. Complaining is destructive and takes my mind off the blessings that surround me.

Things get tough sometimes, but I have the tenacity to deal with them. Instead of moaning about them, I rise above the negative energy.

Complaining robs me of opportunity. It puts my attention on things that offer little positive input. I prefer to spend the time figuring out the way forward. When I see an answer ahead of me, I feel good about myself.

Sometimes, my job feels like a burden but whining about it is fruitless. When something is unfulfilling, I take the steps to move away from it.

I know that I deserve a job that challenges me and caters to my passions. Dwelling in the midst of things that make me miserable is self-destructive. I am committed to putting myself in situations where I grow instead of shrink.

Filing a complaint is effective when an issue is systemic. It is my duty to bring to light anything that negatively impacts my team members, family or community that is within my realm of control. I do not look to pass judgement or interfere outside my role. I do not allow the mistakes of others that I cannot control bring me down.

Today, I choose to alter the things that I am able to instead of complaining about them. It brings me great peace of mind to put myself in a situation that is fulfilling and rewarding.

  3. In which situations is it worthwhile to speak up at work?

If you haven’t used affirmations before there is no right way or wrong way to get started. Whether you print them out and read when you like or record them into your phone and listen to them up to 3 times a day, so long as you connect with the affirmation then you are on your way to mastering it. You can also choose an inanimate object that symbolises the concept for you and carry it with you in the day, or add something meaningful to your vision board. You can use this affirmation as part of your meditation. Some people just like to use them as talking points with their friends or inspire them to make wallpapers to share on social media. Whatever feels right, is what was intended for you now you have found your affirmation, so have fun with it.
