Don’t Feel Small Reinvent Yourself At Bodysgallen Hall

Relax & Recharge

The Grade I listed hotel provides all that is best in country house hospitality.

Voted AA Hotel of the Year Wales 2012-2013, Bodysgallen Hall is secluded in over 200 acres of parkland 2 miles to the south of Llandudno with spectacular views of Snowdonia and Conwy Castle.

Located just two miles from the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno, and 1 mile from Llandudno Junction railway station, Bodysgallen Hall is approached by a winding drive through meadows and parkland.

The beautiful gardens include a rare 17th century parterre of box hedges filled with sweet-scented herbs, a walled rose garden and several follies.

The 17th century house has been skilfully and sympathetically restored by Historic House Hotels Limited since 1980, and given to the National Trust in 2008. Two of the finest rooms are the large entrance hall and first floor drawing room both with oak panelling, splendid fireplaces and stone mullioned windows. They are furnished with antiques and fine pictures.

The Grade I listed hotel provides all that is best in country house hospitality. You will find all the modern comforts in the 15 individually decorated bedrooms (including four Principal Suites) in the main Hall.

Sixteen cottages, with picturesque names like Pineapple Lodge, Castle View and Gingerbread House are situated in the grounds, and provide self-contained accommodation for guests preferring a greater degree of privacy.

The former stable block adjacent to the hotel, now known as the Wynn Rooms, has been converted into rooms for meetings and private dining, ideal for conferences, cocktail parties, wedding civil ceremonies/partnerships and other important occasions.

Visitors can also visit the Spa, which houses a large indoor swimming pool with spa bath, a steam room and sauna at one end, a gymnasium, six spa treatment rooms and a relaxation room.

The hotel has two restaurants. 1620 is the more casual bistro named after the oldest build-date of the Main Hall whereas The Dining Room restaurant has been awarded 3 AA Rosettes and is located in the main Hall overlooking the gardens. This is the perfect setting for enjoying the imaginative menus created by award-winning Head Chef John Williams using fresh local produce whenever available.

This autumn, the 10th Anniversary Event takes place on 31 October, 7, 14 and 21 November. The house and gardens at Bodysgallen Hall have a long and interesting past dating back to the 13th century, when it is believed to have begun as a watchtower to Conwy Castle.

You can discover more about the history of the house and garden by booking your place on one of these special tours between 31 October and 21 November, with a delicious home-made two-course luncheon to follow accompanied by a glass of wine, coffee/tea and Bodysgallen fudge. Tickets are priced at £31 per person.

Also during October and November, visitors can stay Friday and Saturday nights to receive their Sunday night free, paying only for dinner and breakfast.
